We have lift-off as bowling season gets go-ahead
The two public appearances of the Prime Minister yesterday did nothing to dent our hopes of restarting competitive team bowling in Huddersfield in 2020 as he outlined new lockdown rules to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. There was no reversal of the controls already introduced that could impact on plans to start our first ever Winter league season.
The reintroduction of lockdown rules has not been extended to outdoor team sports and leaves us with a clear path to kick-start our sport in town. We believe that after12-months of planning and overcoming several setbacks we are now in sight of delivering lift-off to our inaugural season of Winter bowling.
So we remain on course to hold a Test Day next Tuesday (29th) and then stage a full fixture programme 7 days later (6 October) as we formally open our season.
