In the light of the Coronavirus threat should the League be considering delaying the start ot the new season? It is appreciated that individuals will have varying personal circumstances that will influence their thinking on this. That is why it is important that everyone posts their own view based on their circumstances.

4 Reasons to delay start of season: 1. We, the elderly, are the people most at risk of catching this infection.

2. Bowlers with under-lying health conditions are at increased risk of catching this infection.

3. Some bowlers will not bowl in fear of taking the infection into their homes especially if they have family members with under-lying health conditions.

4. Teams are going to struggle to field full teams with players dropping out re fear of contamination.

4 Reasons to carry on: 1. The threat of infection is reduced as we are an outdoor sport.

2. The Government's advice does not suggest outdoor team games should be cancelled unless there are large attendances (e.g. football matches).

3. The sensible controls included in our guidance, if adhered to, will reduce the risk.

4. The benefits of our sport outway the current risk.
