3 Local clubs get £10,000 KMC grants - so can you
Updated: Jul 1, 2020
We are now aware that at least three Veteran's League clubs have received £10,000 each from Kirklees MC following their successful bids against their Leisure Grant Fund. In addition one of those clubs has also received a further sum of over £5,000 from the Sport England Emergency Fund. These are all linked to the Government-backed funding scheme to support affected business and leisure organisations from the coronavirus pandemic.
If the rateable value of your green or club is below £15,000 then you are entitled to claim the £10,000 grant from KMC. Should your rateable value be over £15,000 then you may be entitled to the next higher level of support of £25,000.
There may be more clubs that have also been successful and we would love to hear from you all as well. These are important steps in securing the future of your club and bowling in the area for the future. You are entitled to these grants and they all require that you complete the paperwork to claim your share of the funding.
Below is a copy of the posting we issued on April 1st. It was no Fools day prank. This funding is readily available to bowling clubs in Kirklees. The link to the application document is below. Complete it and send it in. It seems that Kirklees are turning these bids around in about 5 weeks. It is so little effort to gain funding to help secure the future of your club.
1st April 2020 The Leisure Grant Fund is the one of interest to sports clubs and is linked to the ratable value of your club and that indicates the value of funding that may be available to you as below.

This document provides guidance to authorities about the operation and delivery of the policy and is your initial link to funds that may become available to your club.
