BCGBA Guidance updated

Following the Government's update on 23 June of the lockdown and social distancing rules the BCGBA has today issued new guidance on how that is to be applied to crown green bowling.

The full guidance can be found by following the link below but the headlines are:

  1. Maximum of 6 people on or around the green at any one time as before but now two families of any number can go on the green at any one time.

  2. The 2-metre social distancing rule can be reduced to 1-metre if face coverings are used.

  3. Records must be maintained of all people on or around the green at all times. This record to include name, telephone numbers and email addresses of each individual. This is to support Track & Trace requirements.

  4. Internal Club members-only competitions can be organised as long as Club officials complete a risk assessment and action plan prior to the start and still comply with all the other guidance rules.

  5. No competitions between clubs are permitted.

The complete guidance is in the document linked below.

Please note that the changes to the previous guidance are marked in blue.
