April was a terrible month for the Veteran's League. It was probably the worst ever month in the 50-years that the League has been in existence.

The bowling season delayed and may not even start at all. Then our new President, John Hoyle, in post for just two months, passes away and he wasn't the only loss we suffered this month.

The May Newsletter pays tribute to John Hoyle and Tony Emerson whilst looking again at our chances of playing any meaningful matches at all in 2020.

It also includes a report on the April meeting of the Management Committee and a touch of nostalgia as we look back at the early season League tables as they were four years ago in May 2016. That followed the week earlier abandonment of 21 of the 32 matches in the 10-Man League because of snow!

The Newsletter is out next week. Make sure you get your early copy by becoming a subscriber which automatically adds your name to our circulation list. Subscription is free forever.
