Huddersfield Recreation Club (formerly Canalside) have well and truly settled into their new home at Moldgreen Con. A winter of investment and facilities upgrade project at their new home has now been completed and should have opened this week for the first time with their scheduled first home match of the Veteran's League season.

Our very own 'super paparazzi' and HRC clubman Bob Haigh took his daily walk and passed by the green so took some new photographs of the green and refurbished clubhouse.

Bob explains in his own words what work has been done on-site and provides a commentary to go with his photographs below.

'The new entrance ramp from Julian Street has now been completed, and a new access gate fitted so removing the need to use the steps. The green and surrounds look as if they are being well maintained and ready for use whenever we get the green light. The clubhouse has been reroofed and gutted inside and redecorated and a new kitchen fitted so that is a vast improvement. We have also had our new kit delivered, a fetching Orange and Black ensemble (sorry I was the best model available during this lockdown)'.
