I receive a handbook every year but all I do with it is to read it once including eg looking at statistics and then it disappears into the bottom of my bowls bag and only resurfaces when it is discarded for the next one.
Throughout the season I use the web site for anything I want to know and would never dream of looking at the handbook for eg forthcoming fixtures, club representatives etc.
So, for me the handbook could go but not everyone has access to the website and so I believe that a shortened version is a sensible way forward. However would sponsors still contribute at their current level to achieve it being self financing? If they didn’t , or contributed less then it could result in there behind a net cost to the League.
